I am quite surprised to see so many requests for lists to be emailed directly to people working on fundraisers. I thought the whole purpose of this board was to share information - the list itself here is this entire thread.
For anyone starting out fundraising, it's easy to make a list of organizations/businesses in your geographic area. Just start local (businesses in our town,museums, etc.) and work your way out to neighboring towns/major cities - think about sports teams in your area. Just look them up online and you can also google "tourist attractions in XXXX [insert location of your choice]."
