Thanks Nella. I will try the google docs and see how it works.
I was just handed another 4 'lists' that have been used in the past. Now my 'lists' are totaling about 9. I would like to condense them all down to ONE and separate them out into 'faxed requests', 'mailed requests', 'online requests', etc. Reading these comments has really helped, too! THANKS!!
The hotel you're thinking of I believe was Atlantis Spa and Resort in Reno. We applied late last year for our upcoming auction (April) and were given a two night stay.
Marie, you can always put a coupon in a balloon and sell balloons at the event. Some people may win larger prizes like a $25 gas card, while others may win a smaller one like the free sub. All coupons, gift cards, and other prizes to be won from the balloons are kept at a table in a file.
A slip of paper with the prize written or typed on it says what the prize is.
That way you don't have to put all the actual prizes into the balloons, but just a small piece of paper. You just need a helium tank to blow up the balloons. These make a lot of money for the school since the prizes have all been donated. Once the person pops the balloon and sees the prize, they go to the table where the prizes are filed and the volunteer distributes the prize.
We have our school auction at the beginning of March. Any suggestions for companies who will donate items for silent auction that do not need 60 day minimum notice? Thank you in advance.
