DonationMatch .com has a database of items you can request with a single application. They're still trying to grow and have more available in So Cal right now, but any events also have the chance to receive drinks, snacks, and product samples for gift bags from brands that aren't visible in the database.
I recently received packages of Mommy's Bliss Tummy Trouble and Nausea Relief for gift bags, which was a very nice surprise!
Write to Reno eNVy for a $10 gift card for Reno themed souvenir items. Then search for Reno area chain restaurants. You can write to a few of the corporate headquarters for a gift certificate toward lunch or dinner. www.urbanspoon.com/cities/266/chains. Then research upscale restaurants, perhaps your team could donate $10 each and get a $50 gift card at an upscale restaurant near the hotel. Google free things to do in Reno and include a couple of those ideas in your write up description of the hotel., ie: The Truckee River Walk. You could write to Wild Island and ask for complimentary admission after 3pm for 2 pp.
HI We got the 3 night stay in Reno NV. I'm trying to think of some other items to include to build it up more. We are in Ohio so if someone is interested in traveling to use this hotel stay I would love to make it really desirable. Does anyone have any suggestions???
Thank you!
I applied for several thru bidding for good and only got one in Chicago. I didn't even get a response from MOA which I really wanted.
its to bad businesses are like that.
I've gotten donations from biddingforgood without using them but mostly smaller items from businesses in California - museums, Go Car Tours, a few restaurants. Every hotel I have submitted through it have given us a no. I do search through their listed auctions in my state for donation ideas. I've hit up businesses that have items in auctions that don't use biddingforgood and submitted donation requests. I have gotten a bunch of items that way.
