A variety of scrapbooking items.. paper, pens, etc. It makes a nice gift basket. I don't know about the address. If the org is not a po box, it usually gets sent there first but I only put down one address (the org mailing address) to avoid confusion or issues.
Can anyone tell me what Stampin Up donates? I recently got the approval email about getting the donation a couple weeks and I'm curious about what it's going to be. It's a $300 value. Also if I put the organization address and I put my own as the preferred delivery address where is it going to be sent.
got it - sounds like a continuation of the party. Maybe a "container" or "organizer" store would contribute something, You face a challenge b/c you are collecting for a specific grade versus the whole school. We're not allowed to solicit for monetary contributions in my PTA area. That said, I have brought donation letters to local banks, car dealers, realtors, travel agents but have yet to receive a donation from these businesses. Maybe some casual furniture places that sell those items - maybe a place that sells bedding ? Once I got 2 sets of sheets from a local store selling mattresses/beds (but then they moved so that was only once). Chains like Sleepy's tend to donate to larger/national charitable organizations.
well i'm new to it too. its at the college for the high schoolers. I guess they have their dance then go to the activity gym area to continue with the night. I guess they gather donations and draw for winners. Thats my guess, theres a meeting on Monday but thought i could at least go saying i called several places. My guess is maybe the radio station, local comm colleges. Was just looking for other ideas. I know they were looking for bigger donations like a dorm size fridge, futon, bean bag etc but not sure where to look for that on short notice.
Has anyone asked Realtor agents for money donations?
Crusader - silly question - if there's a prom party, what is the purpose of a post-prom party? Where is it held? Is this for middle school or high school? I would be uncomfortable to ask the same donors for another donation so soon. You might need to find some new/different local donors - maybe some local pizzerias to donate some pizza, a beverage supplier to donate some juice/soda/water? A post prom party might not qualify for any 501c3 donations. I'm guessing parents don't want to be hit up for another donation, but perhaps they might need to contribute to another party. LOL. Curious to hear about this.
now that our auction is done, I jumped on the Post Prom Party committee. Where would I look for post prom donations if I just asked a lot of businesses for donations for the auction.
Would LOVE some advice on this.
