Rose, Before you start the new list you may need to go through and check links. Alot of the links on the first page were no longer valid. May save some people time.

I completely agree. If authors/businesses that tend to donate all of a sudden are inundated with requests they will tend to limit their donations. Consider just contacting authors that are relatively local.

I don't feel bad because it gives them the opportunity to support cause they believe in, get word out about their books and they get a tax write-off.

I will say I feel bad for bombarding them with emails. I had two reply to me and ask were they on some type of list because the amount of asks they'd received had tripled. I think sometimes we get so caught up in our goals that we forget these are people and unlike companies they most likely do not have any one who specifically handles donation requests.

Does anyone feel guilty writing an author asking them for autographed books? I don't know why I do, but I do. :unsure:
