You have a good chunk of time to do lots of publicity to get people to your event. Try using as many channels as you can, including Facebook and Twitter. Send flyers home to parents. Ask local businesses if you can post flyers in their windows! It helps to highlight some of the best items you will be auctioning off -- can you do a flyer or Facebook post that showcases the top items? The ones you think will be most popular.)
You may find our Auction section on the File Exchange helpful. It has templates for a variety of auction-related document that you may find helpful in running your event.
Just want to say thank you to everyone on this site for all your amazing ideas and helpful leads. Our second annual gift auction is just 2 weeks away and we have over 200 prizes! If anyone would like to see the list just shoot me an email! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
I do have one question. We have all these amazing prizes and now we just need people to come. Any tips for boosting attendance? Our event is open to the public.
