Recently we received a gift bag with about 5 autographs from the LA Galaxy (on their website there is a form to fill out), 6 tickets to Knott's Soak City (a parent dropped a request letter off) and a Keurig Coffee Machine and 5 boxes of coffee (applied online - was surprised with this, because I had submitted the request, but never got a response, so was not expecting it! )
Just fyi Christmas Tree Shop took over 3 months to receive a 20 dollar gift card from them but it did finally arrive!
Also, Green Mountain Coffee said they were sending a gift basket but sent a 20 gift card instead. Very nice but just fyi they may send gift card instead of a basket.
Our event is just a little over a month away and we are really starting to see items come in. I received so many good ideas from this site. Thank you!
Then I just googled Donation Request in Iowa and just started hitting the listings.
Most of them were sites that only wanted your letter emailed to them or it gave you the info of how they wanted the donation request sent to them.
There are companies that will just donate to certain states due to their product being sold there. When you can read quickly what their guidelines are then you don't waste your time or a possible stamp.
So if you don't know where to start just google Donation Request and your state or your city if you are in a larger one and go from there.
I sent info to 4 casinos and all of them sent an overnight stay with 2 buffets dinners and it just goes on from there.
