As far as the posters, Jan Brett and Eric Catle, I was looking for inexpensive poster frames but they don't seem to be a standard size. Anyone else have luck with this?
Also, pearl paradise told me today to check back the third week of April. Our event is the first week of may
Actually I got an email from Pearl Paradise earlier today advising me that they had put the "Give Back" program on hold for now to finish processing the April donations.
I do the copy and paste on a blank doc as well and keep a notebook of emails sent with date the request was made, print emails received, included also are the letters that come with the donations and when they were received and "nos" as well. It's getting easier but it does take hours so you have to enjoy doing it. I sit with laptop at night and google xyz donation request and if there's a page for it, you'll go right to it instead of searching on websites.
Today I received by FedEx a $50 gift certificate from Rack Room Shoes and that was info I got from googling. Picture your mall(s) and go down the list store by store and start googling!
Yesterday, Whole Foods gave a spa bag, 5 bags of clementines and two paper grocery bags full of sample beauty/skin care items for our formal dress sale this weekend for the goody bags.
Has anyone received a donation from Elite Resorts? I received an email stating they are going to donate a 7 night stay. I am trying to figure out if this is a legit donation.
JennyNJ - My suggestion is to list the Jan Brett Poster as priceless. That's what I am doing - somethings you just can't put a value on b/c of the uniqueness or experience! I am also putting priceless on the Laura Numeroff signed book I got - I put priceless only on the national authors; the regional, lesser known authors I used the retail value of their books as the auction value price.
