Although this has been a great resource for donations, it has hurt some of us who are now unable to get donations due to overwhelming donation requests from certain companies.
I am hoping someone who posted about the Wheel of Fortune items could share how they contacted the company? Is it through Sony? Was it online or via mail?
Thanks so much and to everyone who has shared their information.
Does anyone have any luck in the Georgia area securing Florida hotels? Many companies like Sea World and Universal won't donate tickets unless you have proof of hotel accommodations if you live outside of Florida. Our town is located 15 miles from the Florida line, but we still need hotel accommodations to try to secure theme park tickets to Sea World and Universal. We're striking out trying to find a hotel that would be willing to donate a 2-night stay. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Our contact last year is no longer donating this year, so we are trying to find another hotel contact. Thanks for any info. Thank you for the information. I must say I am enjoying the hunt for donations. It always feels good to know places others had success. Right now we are working on areas which are not in the PGH area and ideas from this site.
We decided to wait until January to go locally. That gives us 4 months in the Pgh area. Most of the people are scouting the businesses they know personally.
I am just hoping we can deviler in the end. Being our first year, it is difficult to know what you can get/who you can rely on.
I am a professional fundraiser in the area. ALL the arts orgs give as well as most of the attractions (History Center, Science Center, Warhol, etc.) Also, the Steelers will send an autographed photo in most cases. I know some of them will give up to a month prior to an event. Not sure how far in advance, though. Best of luck!
