Sometimes it can take up to 1 month before they respond. Just because the web site says 10 days, doesn't mean they will take 10 days from when you sent it. It is 10 days from when they ACTUALLY look at the proposal. And they look at each proposal (usually) on when they come in.
J. Donovan - did you contact Disney back by the reply to the email that confirmed your application the first year you submitted a request? or otherwise? did they contact you that there was a problem with the paperwork or give you a negative reply at first? thanks in advance.
Sheltiegirl - thanks for responding - I'm glad I'm not the only one out there w/o a quick response.
Stacy - Of the $90,000 our auction brought in, $45,000 was a "Raise the Paddle" - straight donations for a specific need. The rest came in from silent auction, live auction, ticket sales/sponsorships. We had one item that I guess is like a "tricky tray" - donation for a drawing and it was $25 per chance. A big part of our auction income really comes from parents and teacher whether they donate items or their creativity & their time via class projects, signup parties, teacher for the day, etc. Last year was a particularly stellar year in terms of auction income. The state of Texas made pretty massive budget cuts last Spring and our parents were really riled up to support the school.
We are going to make a "stayvacation" basket/package for our Auction.
Has anyone put a "stayvacation" together for their Auction? Any tips/suggestions?
Thank you!
