How do you know that? Their website still says "Update: The application period for 2011 is now closed, thank you for all your wonderful support this year! Please check back on this page to see when the application process will resume. We will not be reading or responding to any email or regular mail application requests until we post on this page that the program has resumed. Rebecca, I just took an extensive auction planning teleconference course & the instructor told us typically you want half as many items as their will be wallets at your event. So, 100 couples = 100 wallets = 50 items. Scarcity breeds desire or something like that. She said you could go over that for school auctions so I'm not including Class/Teacher donated items in that magic number.
There is not such thing as enough when fundraising & still uncertain about some responses. Our event is 2 weeks away & we are still e-mailing, dropping off letters as we think of new places. So far we have just over 100 baskets put together and we will probably end up with 120-130 baskets plus door prizes. Good luck
At what point do you think you have asked enough places? We have contacted a ton, but with long response times, we may not have many answers until really close to our event. Thanks!
Rebekah
