Our kids don't go back until Thursday. I can't wait for them to go back, so I can get back in our library and start working. Our librarian of 10 years retired right before Christmas break, and our library is an absolute mess. She had macular degeneration (sp?), and could only see about 3-inches in front of her face and she was still filing books. No...I am not kidding. I have been working with someone from administration to learn how to enter new books, and check kids in and out while also trying to get the shelves straightened back up. We really made a lot of progress, and then the break hit.
I just love new projects, and can't wait to get back into this one. My hubby is off for the next 2 weeks, and I keep hoping that I will catch one of the custodians at school so I can sneak in a couple of hours. I think I'm obsessed!
Well I wished that someone would have informed our board of that. I am still pouting. I guess I shouldn't complain since we did have two whole weeks off.
Yep, I have to get my Christmas tree border off my bulletin board and a million other things before next week. The elementary has already called about my son. He hurt himself this weekend and needs an advil. Thanks to new state law it takes an act of congress to send one with them so we have to take it to him. What a way to start off the year!
Here in upstate New York we go back tomorrow...today is considered a holiday and the only thing that is open is mainly the malls! I am always surprised when schools are in session on a federal holiday (which is what today is )I have a bulletin board to do so that is my goal today...Happy New Year everyone...may 2006 bring joy and peace to all of you!

Just curious on how many of you are going back to school today? There are a few districts around us going back tomorrow. Most of businesses are closed today. Even my hubby is off work and he works at a factory.
I think I could of used another week. Winter Fest plans are underway. Now to figure out how to keep communication gaps closed.
