We have several local lots that hold farmer's market type events and I always see girls selling during these.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Do you know anyone pretty well who has a retail shop? Last year, my daughter brought a variety of cookies to my husband's floorcovering store...they sold alot of cookies by just having them sitting there (they're so tempting!).
The first year my daughter sold them we went door to door taking orders (a real pain to me). The only problem was when we went to try and deliver them people were never home, etc. so the last few years we just ordered a large quantity and walked through the neighborhood with our wagon. People loved just being able to buy out of the wagon. Then, I'd load up a bunch of them in my car and stop by friend's houses and they just bought out of the back of my car. It worked great. Try and find out what the best sellers have been(Tagalongs, Thin Mints, dosidos, etc.)
I don't have a girl old enough to sell cookies yet bu t a friend of my had her girls do a drive thru sale at a local shop who usally let the local school have car washes. She did so well that the have continued this for the last two years. just an idea.
I'm also wondering what is Character Counts?
We are looking for new ideas to reward good behavior for our students.
I need a case of Tag-a-longs! Those blamed Girl Scouts and their cookies. I will never loose the holiday pounds.
My little one has a stomach bug AGAIN. Hopefully he can make it to school tomorrow. I for one am not ready for it to be over even if they are about to claw each other's eyes out.
I've been getting my Character Counts stuff together. I wasn't going to do it this year, but since I am outside the PTO circle now I thought I better do something. Now I am getting excited about it. My guys are about to disown me for not volunteering much.
Someday I will be in that house, I will have a job that fits my class schedule, and I will have a routine. SIGH. I do miss those diaper days.
OMGosh...it cookie time again!! there goes my husband's will power! Last year, before he realized what he had done, he bought $80 worth of cookies! Well, each one of the gals he works with bring in their daughters and he is such a sucker!
Anyway, tomorrow there will no more fighting over...ANYTHING! The boys were fighting over the new Barbie (the 4ft tall one forour 2yr old) because THEY couldn't agree on who could play with it! Yes the "baby" was upset too! UGH!! Thank GOD it's been decent enough to sent them out to walk the dog, ride bikes, roller blade. Unfortunatly during all this I've had stuff to do . We have a huge meeting next week that I needed to type a flyer/newsletter for. Not a big deal but still time comsuming.
7:30MST my little angels get back on that magical bus that will take them away....until 4!
