So I have finally found my way here. The six pages were a little intimidating. Is anyone around who cam make a Bahama Mama and remind me of a cruise I went on a few years ago and got roped into singing "Oops I did it again" and dancing to it in front of my coworkers. It would make my night!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
That's a tough one considering they used a wool sock in the movie! I wore my wedding dress and was the Good Witch a lllooonnnggg time ago! That was fun. Need to think aobut that one.
HEY my Iowa friend! Have you tried your local Lions, VFW, American Legion- men and womens? I need to go into the Doctor too but I need a different kind of operation...not sure why I'm draggin me feet but I know I need to go in. ANYWAY club soda, margarita, I need a pepsi...who did I miss?
Luvmykids-- Here is a whole bag of HUGS chocolate just for you. Hang in there on the donations!! We don't even have a red light in the town I live in and our whole town maybe has 500 people. There is a hide a bed in the pantry in the back room so have a nap and maybe things will look better in the morning. Good luck with your surgery.
Well, I definatly need some inspiration on this Halloween party idea for school. I am going to be the tornado in the Wizard of Oz and I need to figure out how to make a costume. Any ideas?
Two golfers on on the green, one hits his ball one way. The other hits his ball in another direction.
The first golfer finds his ball has landed in a field of buttercups, so he starts to slice away to get it out.
POOF! Down comes Mother Nature and says, "I put these buttercups here for all to enjoy and you golfers come and ruin them." She waves her arm and says, "For the rest of your life, no more butter" and POOF, he and his ball are back on the green.
Devastated, he turns to look for his friend. He sees him across the way, golf club up, ready to slice, standing in a field of pussywillows and screams, "DON'T HIT THE BALL!!"
(My favorite joke!!)
Anyhow, I think I'll have another Club soda, I'm starting to get sick with our crazy weather and probably ought not to drink anything else.
Luv walks in looking like she needs a nap and a hug.
A big margarita on the rocks please!
Congrats on the Roseart donation. I've started looking for some corporate donations and find that so many only give to schools in their area. No fun companies in my small southeast Iowa town!
This is super stress week. Book Fair(3 hours setting up last night and still missing volunteers), working all day for another charity on Friday, work is hectic(way too many visitors), and trying to get everything in order so I can take it easy next week after my knee surgery. I have this huge knot in my stomach.
Just look on the bright side of that $500 dollars, at least you have art. Our school doesn't have an art or music program. I hope that Rose Art will give you a donation. I really feel that kids who have art and music do better in school. I always get the same story when I try to bring it up at school bosrd meetings. There's not enough money in the budget. At least our library is finally getting some funding so I am happy about that. Well, gotta run..It's off to 1st grade I go today. Lunchroom tomarrow and kindergarten the next two so it's gonna ve a busy week.
