No leftovers? Thanks for the offer of the mashed potatoes, but you know, after hearing what I did about your mashed potatoes. I think I'll pass! Seriously though, one can NEVER have too many mashed potatoes--bring 'em on over!
Sweet potatoes...hmmm..I'll have to get back to you on that.
Kma, I should have come to your house for dinner. I had no left overs. I'll bring mashed potatoes over. I did try to make sweet potatoes from scratch, they were ok but nothing to write home about. Anyone out there with a really good recipe?
kmamom plops down in a seat with an Absolute and 7-Up after preparing Thanksgiving dinner today.(In-laws decided on fried turkey and ham this year, and I'm sorry, but I NEED my gravy)! Now that THE fundraiser of the year is over and done with she's not quite sure what to do with herself! BUT, Christmas IS just around the corner, and Bertha has a big one coming up that she can throw herself into.... Where will all the degenerates here go once page two is no more!?
Well, gals, I'm staying until we get evicted...so pull out the old santa hats and join me at the kareoke machine for a few christmas songs. I'm mixing up some hotchocolate, eggnog, and spiced rum if anyone is interested.
(Tiner drags in the old christmas tree and starts to decorate while "Rudolph" plays on the kareoke machine.)
Sometimes you wanna go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You wanna be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows your name
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
