we are just geting hit with a storm here as well... lots of rain all weekend. yuck! The worst part of it... my daughter is going to have another rained out race! She is 2nd in points this year- we're so proud! I was looking forward to watching tonight- I'm in the mood for some racin'!
Thanks Roof. But, oh, there are worse things..... I'm sure the installer will make it right. It's not like we were going to swim in it. Once it's done, we'll have to close it up for the winter anyway.
My dad called yesterday. In Wisconsin they're already preparing for their first frost. It seems like it was just last month that he sent his "It's finally Summer!" email message.

Grrrrr, Had a huge rainstorm run through last night. Tornado sirens sent us to the closet under the stairs. Power out for 2.5 hours. Rain water gushed under the 'in-progress' pool construction and ruined the pool-krete. The bottom of my pool looks like the Grand Canyon - only blue. I just hope the pool guy makes it right.....

One day while passing a nursing home I noticed six old ladies lying naked on the grass. I thought this was a bit unusual, but continued on my way to the store. On my return trip, I passed the same Nursing Home with the same six old ladies laying naked on the lawn. This time my curiosity got the best of me & I went inside to talk to the manager. Do you know there are six ladies laying naked on your front lawn?"
Yes," he said. "They are retired prostitutes & they're having a Yard sale."
Any ways- hope it's not too inappropriate. Just got a kick out of it!

cc and dillons - thank you so much for your experiences! We are just starting the process - so we are really trying to explore every nook and cranny of this. My daughter is thrilled at the thought of getting to do this (I belive they are doing Alaska) and really hopes to get into it! I'm sure I'll have tons of questions as the time passes.
