Well, my parents live about an hour south of me, and their county has been hit HARD. It's been declared an emergency disaster and the middle school is being set up as a shelter. It is a relative low income area in general, and there are LOTS of trailers and older homes. unofficial tornoado's everywhere. It is sounding like it is going to be pretty bad when the sun comes up in the morning.
My sister was about 30 minutes from home and had to pull over at a store when it got really bad, and got into a restroom with some people at the store. One hit right behind where she was and the police came in looking for chainsaws and asking if anyone had any medical training cause people were trapped and stuck and injured. She made it home 3 hours later. She is 21, still very black and white in the ways of the world, and very straight and narrow. She walked in and went straight for the beer. Bless her heart.
Those poor kids in Enterprise. Wasn't there something else around that area last year that was pretty bad? I don't recall exactly what, but I remember something. Kids have so much to handle these days.
Our weather is so crazy the past few months. it is kinda scary.
Safe thoughts go out to all!
Thank you for your kind words and concern. It is a very sad story. It's going to take some time for them to get it all cleaned up but the news reports show a tremendous response from the community. Everyone is coming out to see what they can do.

Thanks for the concern. No, I am not near Enterprise. I am just south of Huntsville on 431. No serious weather yet, just lots and lots of rain. My little brother is at Ft Rucker which is just NE of Enterprise. I was able to call his cell phone to confirm that he was OK. They're confined to barracks for the next 24 hours but they're all OK.
You be careful also GaMom. It's heading your way.
Hubby's. Sheesh. How about instead of just ignoring you, he actually looks right in your face and says, "I don't care." Um, that's when the oven door got broken. And it was worth the $185 to fix it too!

CC--I just saw where a tornado hit a school Enterprise AL. I hope that isn't near you. I have distant family down there and mom my is having trouble getting through on the phone lines right now.
Luv, I hate it when my hubby is tuning me out. I listen to his fussing all the time, and he can listen to a few minutes of mine. But to be looking over your shoulder at the TV....man, he was asking for it!
CC--tell me you're no where near the tornado---just read the devastating news of the school...my heart is on fire with stabs of pain for all those affected...and praying you're not one...
