We do a brunch at the end of each year for the kids "graduating"; leaving the elementary and going up to the middle school. Our district's food service works with us and we put our food order in a month ahead of the breakfast date. Our menu is pancakes, sausage links, small bagels, donuts, butter, cream cheese, orange juice and milk and we generally ask for one parent from each class to donate a fruit salad and always end up with more than enough!
Check with your district. I do know from reading some past posts that some districts food service group will work with PTO and other organizations that deal with the school but I've also seen where some might not.
If yours doesn't maybe you could approach your local fire department or Kiwanis club, anyone that puts on community pancake breakfasts, and ask them how renting equipment works, where you would go for info, etc. Another avenue could be to get in touch with your local grocery store to see if they might donate some food items.
What a super-cute idea! Good luck with it!
