I LOVE the "WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER" theme! What a good idea! I have variety show/talent show visions dancing through my brain as I type! What Fun!

I am pto pres of an elementary school and we have adopted the "We're all in this together" theme for the year. Our first meeting involves introducing the parents to the teachers and staff. To go along with this, we have great teachers who are willing to put on a variety show. Those who went to HS in the 80's will remember our teachers in costume, playing air guitar and lip sincing to "Addicted to Love." Hopes are that our Principal and his wife will sing "Breaking Free" together dressed in a basketball uniform and lab coat. They will also have several of the 5th graders doing all the dance steps with them. The teachers are so excited and the kids will love the music and their teachers acting like kids.
I just wanted to post this because I came across it when I was thinking of movie nights. Apparantly you cannot advertise and use the title of the movie or the studio it was made in.

to advertise your movie in your facility or to pass out directly to students and staff. If you choose to advertise through the public media (such as public radio, television, or a website), you may do so, as long as the movie title and studio name are not used. For example, “Join us at ABC Elementary for a Family Movie Night at 7:00pm†is permitted.
I was brainstorming on some new family nights and came up with the HS musical theme. Most of the elementary kids really love HSM. I thought we could have some karaoke going on, or maybe showing the movies in the library.
You all are such a resource for ideas, I thought perhaps you could help give me some more ideas to go along with the theme.
