Keep your money. The kids are so over the bracelets. We also are giving the rest of ours away. They sold great when things were hot. Our two items right now are custom tattoos and golf umbrellas. We are also looking at custom eye-black stickers.
I would like to offer my 2 cents on the bracelets. It was our experience last year that this is an item students really are not interested in. We have a ton left, and I can count on one hand the number of students who wore these after receiving them. They aren't that cheap, and I would like to spare another school the expense. Hope this helps:)
Wow...I've got a quote of only 63 cents a piece. We are planning on doing them as a give away on Field Day. The kids are all getting a free T-shirt, and the braclets are going to be two different colors. One color for one team, and another for the other team. The would all contain our school name, and 'Field Day 2007". I thought it was something different as we've given out wrist/head bands, bandanas, and visors the past few years. If anyone has any other original ideas, I'd love to hear them.
www.oriental.com
has some with generic sayings that kids like (good for fundraising or prizes). If you're wanting a special message printed, we haven't tried that yet.
I agree. We ended up givng them to the kids for free, becase we had such a stock and no one was interested in buying them anymore (at any reduced price, even).
Ask the kids whats cool these days, it changes fast!!!!
Sorry Judy, but I have to go with the other posters: the popularity of these bracelets is waning. We ordered 1000 2 years ago and we still have over 500 left. At 96 cents each, that's a chunk of inventory to have lying around. I've hinted at this year's board to give them away to next year's kindergartners and as prizes at our carnival.
What we did this year was sell pink t-shirts since pink is the hot color and we were seeing a big trend in spirit wear in colors other than school colors. We sold a ton of them and plan to watch for the hot color for next year and do the same thing!
If you still want to try it, I used a local business that does screenprinting and all other types of marketing gifts. Being local and having kids in the school, he did a lot of the work and got us this price(other places were quoting $1.25 and up).
