Rhonda - the best way to get donations is face to face and in your community. When you are at the grocery store ask to talk to the manager for various donation options, when you are at a retail store ask, when you are at any major food chain ask, when you are at Starbucks ask. You can try the letter route but it may not be as successful as face to face requests. Local stores are more apt to donate to the community they live and breathe in.

I am a new PTA president. I was just member before. I need a sample of a donation letter. The past president did not leave me with much to work with (funds). So we are basically working from scratch. I would like to do a fun fair at the end of the year. To make money for our new playground equipment. The principal is livid about how much was spent on the parents vs. the children. So she wants to down scale our fundraiser efforts. Please please any info will be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end.
