Wow, your family night sounds awesome!! We've also ordered the Family Game Night kit from this website and are planning to have our family night coincide with the drawing for our big spring raffle. There will be not admittance to the fun night, but we do plan to charge a nominal fee for pizza and drinks. We can't afford not to. Anyway, I love all the game ideas in the kit, but would really like to have some additional game ideas from other experienced PTO folks out there. My only requirement is that they have to be simple, like the games in the kit. Thanks!! You can e-mail direct to This email address is being protected from spambots. I would love to correspond with anyone who has ideas or wants to share ideas on other fundraisers such as raffles, carnivals, catalog sales, and auctions, which I have a LOT of experience with!
I would like to say the pizza was piping hot when we served it but, alas, it probably wasn't. We ordered 71 pizzas (and that was way too many!) and there is no way on earth to keep 71 pizzas hot! We picked them up in shifts and tried to serve them ASAP. Next time I will figure exactly 2 pieces per person and not add extra. It was the no-shows that threw me off.

Tryinhard,
We normally get our pizza at a discount from Little Caesar's. The manager, a great guy named Bob, is kind enough to let us borrow warming ovens. This really helps keep the pizza hot. Just ask~ Our experience has been that people are eager to help out!
Good luck!

SHC how did you keep the pizza warm? We have these funny ovens that keep the tv like dinners the kids eat for lunch. I don't know if we can use them. Or if the pizza would be kept at the correct temperature.
Congratulations! Sounds like a great, community-building event. And, thanks for sharing all of you 'anal' details... it's these details that can make or break an event!
Good luck with your next project.
