Cake walk---it's like musical chairs--tape off and number spaces on your gym floor in a circle. (we always do our in the gym & we usually have 30 to 40 spaces, 1 circle inside the other if you can picture that) Have everyone bake or bring in cakes and cupcakes, etc and put on a table in the middle of the circle or close by. Everyone pays 2 tickets or must have a braclet to play at ours (see my other post above). Have a radio, play the music, when it stops pull a number out of a hat and if someone is on that number they get the cake!
So people at our Fall Festival only play the cake walk all night. Great money maker!
We always sell tickets at the door or braclets so a child can do all the events as much as they want. orientaltrading.com has great cheap prizes and carnival supplies. Don;'t forget to have a table with school spirit items to sell!
a lollipop tree---get a sttyrofoam tree(or any shape) get cheap lollipops and color the bottoms of some of them with markers. the color lollipop you pull out is the number of prizes you get.

hey husky PTO... our mascot is the husky... is that yours??? email me This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
We did a great event with stuffable huskies and have a bunch left- willing to sell at a great price. We have raised over $4,000 with our mascot dog! Our school has 440 students.
I'm a newly appointed Special Events Coordinator for our K-5 elementary school of 344 students. I'm planning my first event of an at-school Family Fall Festival. We are planning to do it for just a 3-hour event on a friday evening. All your message posts have enlightened me that this indeed can be done (it's never been done at our school before) and a lot of your suggestions and ideas have helped greatly!!! I'm putting a shout out to PTA RENEGADE for her software program that you offered to others on this site. I'd love a copy if you still have it!!! If anyone else wants to shout out ideas on different carnival-type games that were successful in their events I would love to hear about them especially home-made games vs. rented or store-bought ones!!!
Thanks a lot!!!
