That's what we did - used a template in Word. We happened to use a business card shell because we liked the size.
Regardless, it's usually easiest to set it up as a TABLE in Word. Then you can make all the cells (tickets) equal size and if you turn on borders - at least the inside lines, it gives you lines for cutting. (I usually make them light grey - just enough to give a guideline.)
Sometimes people are intimidated by tables - but they are very powerful and it you become comfortable very quickly. Be sure to turn on the toolbar for tables. That speeds things up.
You know, I think I'll take Luvmykids advice and try and make something with my word processing program. I fiddled around with it and came up with something very simple and printed it on bright green card stock and it looks fine. I will have to cut them but I don't think I'll need many--100 or so.
What kind of tickets do you need? Do they need to be unique?
Keep in mind that a simple roll of rolled tickets cost about $5 per 2000. Depending on if you want to just pick them up at a party supply or concessions store or if you want to order off the internet, they can be generic or a more unusual pattern.
Printing tickets also means CUTTING tickets, which can be a lot of work if you are talking hundreds/thousands.
That being said - I'll be glad to help you if you can be more specific. For example, we used a business card template (10 per page) to print drawing tickets for our raffles with space for name, teacher, phone number. Email me if you need help. I made some for an event we held using Word. I put a text box on the page and typed in my info. The text box automatically has a box around the text. I added color to mine and some unique clip art so they couldn't easily be copied. Once I created one, I just copied and pasted until I had enough to fill a page.
Looking for a website to print some simple tickets for our Family Fun and Games Night. Anyone know a website that might have a free template for that? I'm not very "graphically inclined" but can handle something simple.
Thanks
