no we did not stay the night. It was until about 10pm. The movie ended early because the girls could not hear it. The mothers were to loud. I would skip the movie and dance and sing.
I love this idea. Probally get area students that are in cosmotolgy school to donate some time to do manicures and maybe pedicures. But do they stay the night at the school or just leave when the movie is done? This sounds like a great activity to do around mothers day.
Thank you for input on movie night with a fee. Thinking about including some more free family nights. But that is kinda tricky with all the activities go on with cross country, track, baseball, basketball, volleyball etc.....
What a fun event for you all. Yep, you do need a license to show the movie whether you charge or not. It's only $50 for the one-time and if you choose to purchase it for the year (unlimited viewings)they deduct the initial $50 from the fee. It covers the PTA/PTO and the school. There's information about it in the Family Movie Night section to the left!

We have so many different ethnic and rel. groups and no one had an issue with anything. The only thing was someone said we needed a license to show the movie. We rented it from Blockbuster and they told us not to worry. It's not like we charged admission for the show. Anyway, we will can the movie next time. The girls had more fun playing and dancing. Plus, the parents in the back wouldn't shut up! I say GO FOR IT!!
