We used the kit provided by PTOtoday(look under the School Family Nights link). It had lots of fun group games that were really easy to play and require very little supplies. We got the balls and other equipment from the gym teacher. Mind you these were all physical activities(nothing too strenuous)so if you're looking for board game type things, you might ask your teachers for help.
LUVMYKIDS-- Did you already have games to play? We need to purchase games and stuff since this will be our first year doing this. What kinds of games do you provide?
When we had our Family Fun and Games Night we spent a grand total of $4 and some change!! That was because we got tons of donations. We had orange drink form our local McDonald's and had gift certificates from Walmart and a local grocery store that we used to purchase veggie trays, fruit and snack crackers. If we would have had to buy everything it probably would have run us around $100. This event had an attendance of a little over 200 people.
I'm proposing a Family Game Night to my PTA board this Th. (I'm the new PTA president!). Can anyone give me an idea of how much I should tentatively budget for this kind of event? I'm submitting a proposed budget for the activities I'm wanting to add for next year. I appreciate any insight you can offer!
Thanks bunches,
Holly
