We've never done a ladies night out, but the 7 of us that are on the yearbook committee are also the 7 that attend every PTO meeting. So one of the ladies had a Christmas party at her house for us and we included the husbands. After all even if they don't attend the meetings, they are involved. Wether it be watching the kids so we can volunteer, help with fundraisers, etc. We had a really nice time and plan to do a party after the yearbook is complete.
There are only about 3-4 other ladies that attend the PTO meetings on an ocassional basis.
As you can see, we're a pretty small group despite the fact that we have approx. 600 children at our school.
We do a ladies night out a few times a year. We pick a date usually about a month in advance and go to a local jaunt for dinner and cocktails or sometimes we go just for cocktails. We just spread the word via word of mouth.
Do any of you do a Ladies Night Out? Or maybe just an appreciation gathering for your PTO Committee staff and parents? Please share your info. We do a volunteer appreciation, but it's at the end of the year and the PTO sponsers it. I would like some ideas for events to boost spirits after winter break that keep people in the game through the end of the year. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
