We just had our first spaghetti dinner and it was a huge success. We had donations from supermarkets (gift cards)and accepted donations for dinner- no charge otherwise. We made a $300.00 profit!! How exciting is that.
This is a school that has about 120 students and last year the PTF was non-existant. The beginning of the year another mom and I sent out questionnaires and asked for help with specific activities we had planned for the year. 40% of our families responded. That was fantastic.
Now, we have plans for a fancy dessert and auction night but I'd like information on how to get donations from "big guys". I've seen a list here but many of the contacts are not valid according to responses. Anyone have ideas? You can e-mail them. Thanks
We were going to do it last year, but decided against it because it is soooo messy for the little ones and we didn't want parents to be angry for having to bathe their kids when they got home. We have done pizza, ice cream, and chili nights. They go over real well.
My group was thinking about hosting a free spaghetti dinner for our school. An idea we got from the PTO conference that was in San Antonio. Has anyone had one and if so any tips on how to go about this? Any and all help would be appreciated.
