thanks everyone! I did end up just writing my own "thank you". I just waited an extra day so I wasn't so tired. Sometimes I get too overloaded and just can't think straight. I appreciate your suggestions :)

If you have their email addresses there is a site called evite.com. They have all kinds of invitations and you can RSVP to them as well. You could also thank them in the invitation to the meeting. You can design your own they are really cute!

Women love costume jewelry. You can buy wholesale jewelry for those who attended and it will be extremely appreciated because they feel that you went out of your way and spent a lot of money on them. When other parents find out, they will get involved. You can buy jewelry that costs 20 - 40 dollars at the department store but you can buy the same jewelry for ten percent of that wholesale. Go to lerouxproducts.com and you will see several nice pieces of jewelry at low cost and only have to buy a dozen or maybe a half dozen. It will be the best $30.00 you will ever spend.

You don't need a letter someone else has written, just put into yours what you just said in your post: Thank you for coming to our tea and participating in the raffle. We were so pleased to meet you and hope you will bring your ideas and enthusiam for making our school a better place to our first meeting on MM DD at TIME. Do as MommyTLC suggests and get some thank you cards and handwrite the note. Then a couple of days before your meeting call/e-mail those folks again to remind them.

Purchase thank you cards from the dollar store. It's a personal touch that would mean a lot to the parents.

You could also purchase some nice paper and print a letter out for every parent that attended and mail it to their home.

Does anyone have an idea where I might find a good follow-up letter? We just held our Kindergarten Tea (Orientation) and the PTO raffled off the LeapFrog Leapster (THANK YOU PTO TODAY!) What a hit! We were able to collect 35 names, numbers and e-mails of parents interested in helping out at school this year . . . and that's just Kindergarten!! We are a semi-small school (500 students) and desperately need more volunteers, as you all know . . . it seems you can count on 5 - 10 regular participants and out of those maybe three will agree to become an Officer without too much hesitation :) Anyway . . . I would really like to send out something to the parents who attended the tea, thanking them for participating in the raffle and inviting them to our first PTO meeting, as well as welcoming them to the school once more. We did hand out folders at the tea with a welcome letter, calender, contact list and other handy informative sheets. Any help would be much appreciated . . . school hasn't even begun yet and I'm already brain dead . . . Oi vay!
Thanks!
