Halloween based search-a-word, crossword, unscramble puzzles. BINGO using candy corn as markers. Maybe for lower grades read a cartoon character based Halloween book.
How about "gross" science experiments? Go for anything slimy, stinky, or disgusting looking. Or even use a mad scientist kind of theme.
I have a board game that I think is called Gross Out-I'll double check. Anyway, it has trivia questions all relating to science and nature in mostly disgusting areas like "How much spit do you produce in a day?" I used it one year with my daughter's 5th grade class. Broke them up into team and they brainstormed the answers, then they got points for each correct answer. The winning team got a prize.
We are getting to have a Halloween parade and class activites this year after a 3 year hiatus. Most parents are struggling to find educational activites to support the party, which is being required. Any ideas?
