Our school does an afterschool block party the second day of school. It is held outside and the staff prepares hotdogs and goodies. They give out a free book to every child, have face painting, different stations that are geared to like math activities, etc. There are also info booths such as our group, PBIS, commitees. They also have aDJ that does a great job getting the kids going!

Our school is planning a Back to School picnic on the first day of school. We only go to school for a half day. We wanted to have this so parents can meet their children's teachers and meet each other. Has anyone done this before? I need ideas!!! Thanks so much.
