Oriental Trading has a personalization section that we used for our lanyards.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Who do you go through for lanyards and lapel pins?
The school my daughter attended before we moved gave lanyards to all the parent volunteers at their luncheon. I loved it. I don't wear it at her new school, but use it at work.
The NEA website says that it is the first full week of May so that would make it the 7-13...if the NEA website is the definitive answer. Some schools are celebrating the 1-5 of May (cause nurses week is the 6-12th of May). So I suspect whenever you put it down ....d
Each of our teachers recieves a 25 dollar gift certificate to the place they filled in on their survey form in the beginning of the year. We also do a luncheon and this year we are sending home a "teachers top 5" to the parents so they know what types of things the teachers would like to receive for their classrooms for appreciation day. We're doing the same for our Librarians, paras and nurse...(of course the nurse wants undies and socks -- children's of course). We hope by coordinating this we can get the teachers etc...things they really can use for the children...d
