Our PTA organized lunch for not only the teachers, but all the staff as well. Our staff appreciation coordinator put out the call for parents to volunteer to provide a lunch for a teacher or staff member of their choice. The goal was to provide lunch for everybody for the whole week. It took quite a bit of planning to make sure everyone was accounted for each day of the week, but the parents and teachers loved it! The lunch was personal, could be homemade or restaurant bought or whatever! We'er definately doing it again this year!
Our PTO has 3 schools that we host this for. And I'm not sure what I need to do.
Do I get a committee for each school?
What to we feed the teachers?
Does it have to be themed?
How much money is should we use?
Do we serve breakfast, lunch or both?
This is so funny. As I was reading the replies, I completly recognized the Cooking Up Appreciation theme because I listed that on this site last year (1/17/05). Looks like another school took my idea and ran with it. Hope their week went as great as ours.
We are doing a movie theme this year, I just haven't work out the details yet. I'll post our plans when the are finialize.
