Seems to be first full week in May per the PTA web site. I've noticed the SHC post includes wrong dates. Uh Oh! Hopes she checks back here.

I did a "Live from the Red Carpet" movie theme for Teacher Appreciation last year that went over very well. We don't have much money in our account. One of the parents donated all the goodies to the staff appreciation breakfast. The teacher's were happy about it.

Hmmmm - maybe it does vary from state to state. The National Education Association website says this

"It is celebrated on the Tuesday of the first full week of May, so the actual date varies each year."

I suspect that states may determine their own scheduling in order to deconflict with other stuff (if the NEA site is accurate). d

I looked up the State Education Website or something and it said that TEACHER APPRISATION WEEK is May 1-5....so that is when we are doing ours.

We asked our teachers what they would most like to have and their answer was "time". So we had parent volunteers take over their morning duties, cross walk, hall monitor, gym monitor, etc. for the week. We also had a local coffee shop come in and set up a coffee/tea bar one morning.
