For Christmas, we paid the deposit ($100) for a DJ to play at the staff Christmas party. We're also thinking of getting together and having a gift wrapping party for staff members (we provide the giftwrapping, bows, etc).

We had some left over that was donated for our Christmas store and we also used up samples from Fundraising companies. This year we will probably purchase it if need be but we are lucky enough to have some very nice donated stuff. We didn't supply name tags (to: from:). One teacher had hers done so we put them on. We make sure we use super sticky post it's to label stuff for take home so no mixups occur.

Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas! I love the gift wrapping idea. I will check it out. Do you supply the wrapping paper, tape, and bows for them or do they bring all that in and we just wrap it for them? Excellent idea!!!

Our PTA does thank yous, staff appreciation luncheon from our Appreciation Fund.
But the real perk is Shawn sending 'em flowers, hugs, kisses , or chocolate treats made in my Enrichment class(and assisting at school).

THE PERKS of being a man working/ assisting in a world predominately(sp?) or at least our school and district full of beautiful women.

We put together a Staff Appreciation Committee this year. They do a staff luncheon (themed) once a month. We had parents sign up at our open house. We had all the menu's for the school year and they signed up for the items they wanted to prepare and bring. Our second one is tomorrow (Italian). I'm sure the teachers like not having to worry about bringing their lunch one day a month. During Staff Appreciation week in May we want to have their lunch catered.
We also wrap the gifts that the teachers have purchased for family and friends (personal) for christmas. We started it last year and they really liked it. We go the idea from a PTO Today article. It only takes a few volunteer "Santa Helpers" to get it done.
