We also do alot of guessing contests for the kids close to every month (they win coupons or small gifts), we run the school store that doesn't take money only Green Gotchas(given when a child does something respectful, safe, responsible, etc.) We do some little things throughout the year, these are our main things.Hope this helps, what would we add if we could...not sure. One last thing these are all FREE events.

Hi Holly,

We started in August with a back to school bbq, then had our Fall Arts and Crafts Show in October, followed by Family Movie Night in November. In December, we hosted a Kids Holiday Craft Make and Take and in February, a free Swim and Skate Night at our local sportsplex. We are doing a free Book GiveAway, along with a book plate and a design your own bookmark this month. In May it will be a Get Acquainted Picnic for all 5th graders in our district as they join together in entering middle school. Every two years, we invite a Wild Animal Group and a man who handles reptiles also. This is our off-year.

I hope to add a Science Night and maybe a Math Night next year.

Hi all!

There have been so many ideas posted for family nights or just activities to get the parents & community involved in school. I'd love to see just a list of some of the fun things you do during the school year (ie Doughnuts with Dad, Movie Night, etc.)

Thanks bunches,
Holly
