Sorry to hear about your issue. Can you get the parents to help the kids to wright a letter to the teachers about what they love about them? What about the parents writing a letter to the teachers? How about finding community leaders that DO support your school. Writing letters to the newspapers, editors, etc.
Gather all the parents that you can and meet the teachers when they arrive at school with banners, signs, etc. Is there anyone that can do a billboard or road signs to encourgage support.
If the parents believe in the school, show support them in anyway possible. Food is great, but letters, signs for the public to see, are a great way to show that they care.
We have had a huge crisis at our school recently. I can't really go into details but it involves lots of bad publicity(newspapers,TV) and our teachers are so depressed, parents are demoralized, etc. Anyway, I need ideas on how to perk everyone up. I sent out an e-mail to all my room mothers asking them to, if they desired, bring some food for the teacher's lounge. We put signs out that said "We love our teachers". The teachers were so touched they had tears in their eyes. Parents have responded by providing food in that teacher's lounge every single day this week and even into next week.
What else can I do? We're trying to maintain some sense of normalcy.
