When our PTO had it's own stationary, it was only in the possession of the board members who could need it but mainly the secretary. All groups are responsible for their own supplies or reimbursing the group who's supplies they used in our school. If your principal won't listen, which ours wouldn't, then move up or down the ladder of command until someone will. There is no reason this teacher should be allowed to misrepresent herself for your group.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Oh my gosh, I would think the principal would put a stop to this in a New York minute. What does the principal say? That's inexcusable! He/she should be the "heavy" in this situation.

I consider myself to be a very relaxed person, always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. But there is another service group that is active in our school, and the teacher that heads that group continuously puts their news out on PTA letterhead. I have asked her both face to face AND in a letter (nicely)to please NOT use the PTA letterhead for their group. I even offered to help her create their own letterhead with the group's name on it. This has been going on for over a year, and she simply refuses to stop. In addition to their newsletters, they're also putting their requests for monetary donations on it, confusing the parents into thinking that the PTA is asking for money ALL OF THE TIME. I've explained that even when a PTA committee puts out a letter, that I must approve it before it gets copied and distributed, since I am the one that is ultimately responsible for all PTA business. She refuses to stop. Any suggestions? Thank you!
