Thanks for the ideas! I tend to stress :eek: for nothing, but I'd rather be prepared then get the whammy at a meeting. We won't be putting the playground in (having it installed), but we've received some good ideas that lend themselves to people branching our. We're plugging along, but the DETAILS [img]tongue.gif[/img] sometimes I feel like my brain is going to explode! Thank God for a good VP and friends!
As the above two posters suggested, form committees. I was involved in building a playground years ago and whoever organized it, had several committees: fundraising, design, actual construction, child care (for when construction started) and hospitality - to provide snacks and beverages for workers. Everyone that worked got a t-shirt with the name of a local company on the back and a child's drawing of the playground on the front.
There were several fundraisers but there should not be too many so people don't get burnt out. Food fundraisers are usually a hit and those are ones that you can do fairly often - specifically pizza and hoagies (sub's or whatever they're called in your part of the country) are better then overpriced cookie dough in my opinion. Spaghetti dinners with everthing donated are great and a good community builder.

I bet it won't be as bad as you think. Ideas will start rolling and alot of them will probably combine their ideas. I know processes like these are nerve racking but I am sure everyone will work together.
When we made plans for our playground, we formed a committee. It had tons of members. You can do that to let everyone who is interested be a part of discussions and selection of equipment and fundraisers. We also used volunteer help to construct the playground and you need LOTS of people for that.
