I am new this year also, but I just wanted to leave you with a couple quick suggestions...
Our principal requires one teacher out of every grade level and I recruited shadows for each of my board positions, that makes thats already almost 20 people and I ask that at least one person from each of my committee's attend so that is usually always 10 more.. I have child activities and food and door prizes too, which I think helps! Hope its been helpful!! Good luck!

This is such a great site. I also would love to have any copies of pamphlets, brochures, and surveys that anyone might have. This is the second year of being president for our PTO and we really want to expand our events and the information that goes out to the parents. We added 6 new events this last year and we are planning to add about 6-8 more. We are a small school K-8, with 240 students.
