I forgot one thing:
These are kept in the foyer area of the school in a brochure holder plus on the PTO bulletin board in a brochure holder as well. Parents, pick these up. I have tried to get the school to put them in the welcome packet. So we have to do the marketing.

Our PTO had a brochure last year it was a tri-fold
Welcome Message
Inside was the Mission Statement of the school,
PTO - sponsored events throughout the year
PTO-board members & phone numbers
Board Meetings Schedule
Goals for the new coming year
Back Side:
Miniture Joining form
T-Shirt Order form (since PTO sells these)
Hope this helps.

We have a tri-fold brochure that I would love to share with you...we send it out throughout the year and use it the most at our Kindergarten Round-Up night. If you can email me a fax# I can get it sent out to you!!"

That's a great idea - and one you definetly can put out all the year. Some many times we tend to publicize who we are, what we do, what our volunteer oppportunities are, and what our PTA/PTO dollars purchased for the students and teachers - only one time - at the beginning of the year. This is great information and should be put in a great brochure format.

What information do you have in your brochure? These items about are just a few of what comes to mind. Others could be what the role of a homeroom parent is, and the assistants too. Maybe the membership number versus the goal (which might be one-for-one). Then note that people can join anytime - so if they would like to, provide information for joining.

This could be great! Who else agrees? ;)
