Our Publicity Person takes pictures at events that our PTO holds, writes a little discription and submits it to our local paper. The purpose behind ours is to show the community what activities are happening at our school. Our flyers are made up by our President or whoever is chairing the event.
Contact radio stations, t.v. stations, and your local paper about PTO meeting times. You can also make flyers for bulletin boards etc, explaining what your accomplishments are and what you goal are. Is this anywhere close? Most importantly everywhere you go spread the word by talking positively about your group.
I have been with the PTO in our school for 3 years and this year im am starting a new job. I will be publicity and am kind of in the dark about what to do. I would really like it if anyone has any good tips to get me started on the job. Thanks alot to any that have any. Have a good day
