Thanks guys! So far so good. Ima- like the shorthand idea but I really like our secretaries to have a tape recorder. I would rather they be part of the conversation rather than having their noses down on the paper so that they too can participate. But shorthand is also a lost art and might just be fun.
Critter, I love the power of e-communication. I am an avid e-mail user. I could put it together on how to make a distribution list, e-mail etiquette. I love it!!
I would like our Corresponding Secretary to become more of a communications and marketing expert. How about training on writing a great newsletter, creating good flyers, communicating the successes of the PTO/PTA, the power of e-communication, etc.
Hi guys, as you know, I'm a council Pres and I'm trying to put together our leadership training in August. We have set workshops for Presidents and Treasurers and we've had other classes for VPs and Secretaries but they tend to follow the same lines. I want to offer some different options this year. What kind of training would you find helpful and exciting besides the typical membership and Robert's rules?
