Fiscally, you should be accountable for ALL your money. Receipts are required by us for anything and everything.

We provide a check to the school (one check for all teachers). Our office takes care of given the monies out when receipts are turned in. We have checked to make sure it's really being done, and it is. it also speeds up the teacher reimbursement.

. We give each of our teachers a $50 check in both the fall and spring to use for classroom supplies. A lady from another PTO said they were told by someone that they shouldn't do that and what they needed to do was have each teacher turn in $50 of receipts and then the PTO would reimburse them. That way there would be receipts to go with the check. This would be a huge hassle, and from what we hear the teachers are spending more than that anyway so we feel comfortable that the money is being used as intended. Do you know of a reason that we should reimburse the teachers rather than giving them a check up front?
