LETTER TO TEACHERS ASKING FOR NEEDS

oooppps, I forgot to add that I did send out a letter afterward with a summary of all the ideas and information about what we had already purchased for the year. The reason I did this is because I was shocked that they were so uninformed about the purchases we had made. For example, we bought a copier this year and are paying for the maintenance for 2 years and we agreed to do this. The copier is on order but most teachers still put a copier as the top priority of things to buy. Dont assume they know everything, make sure you keep them informed!!!

Hi. I sent out a questionaire to each teacher and asked what was most beneficial and least beneficial. How could we find/use volunteers in a more productive way? Then I asked if there is money at the end of the year, how would they like it spent, I asked for individual teacher needs, a group school project with a medium size budget, then I asked if they would rather save the money to put towards a playground equipment. We also have 2 teachers that comes to our board meetings that are the spokespeople for all the teachers. They polled the teachers themselves and that was a lot of help. Good luck. Melinda

I need help coming up with a letter to the teachers asking for ideas on how to spend PTO money. We think they have the best ideas on what is needed, etc. This will be wish list of both big and small items. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to do everything! We may also include some the smaller ideas in teacher appreciation week. (Give the room representatives a copy of their teachers wish list. So, the class could contribute.)

THANKS for your help!!
