calling and holding an emergency meeting

Well, if he is going by Roberts Rule of Order, (I don't want to do this) but he is right. A special meeting that is needed to be held outside the normal meeting time and convened only to consider one or more items. At that time it is the Secretary's duty to notify members of such meeting to discuss such issues.

Before you ....HANG ON! An executive session (private board meeting) could have been called and advoided this minor technical yuck you've been called on. Honestly, our small band of officers have done this many time.

I would simply tell your Principal there was no intent to hide information or met in secret, our board ...yadda yadda to talk about.

You know what's funny, our school board holds emergeny meetings all the time, sometime the public is notified and often we aren't.

Talk to him and mend your bridge.....
