Excellent motto to live by. I firmly believe in it. I just wish we could all live by that and not lose sight of it. I have come to realize that PTO is one big bunch of hormones. You have to coddle it and not step on toes. I wish I could afford to get a big banner printed up that has that motto on it and I would put it were all the board members could see it during our meetings. There's always next year. I keep saying that every year. Eventually the board will be able to work together.

This is my ninth year of being involved in our parent group. Every year I see parents get caught up in their personal passions and egos, and lose sight of the kids. My motto has always been "whatever benefits the kids". I realize we are blessed to have such passionate people at our school, that is what makes our parent group so great. However let us never lose sight of why we are in this...for the kids. That is what it is all about.
