I will certainly email you a couple of agenda. Your message struck me in that "you were just TOLD" that you are PTO pres - were there no elections? Maybe I read that wrong but it came across to me that you were surprised that this happened. With a general meeting coming up you are certainly overwhelmed. After that is over, breath. Read your bylaws and get your exec committee together to discuss distribution of responsibilities in accordance with those bylaws. You are not in this alone (at least I hope you have a board! - you also have us.) and should feel like you have to do it all yourself.

I have just been told that I am the new PTO president and my first meeting is Tues. night. I have only been to two meetings and they were total CHAOS. No agenda was used and nothing was settled. I want to start out on the right foot and set a precedence for the rest of the year. However, having never been to a proper meeting I am unsure as to what to even put on an agenda.
