I am a first year PTO VP and will start by saying, "I have alot to learn." But we have a President that can not help but to start a war on each and every issue that comes before the Board. She is a teacher at another school, and has three delightful children at the school where she is the PTO President. This is her second year as Pres., and has no problem reminding me she knows "everyone's game."
According to her everyone wants money and no one wants to work for it! I have to disagree...we have a student body of 525 and 278 parents have volunteered for something during the year. If a teacher request funding for an activity...this teacher is automatically going to "spend our money for dinner on us!"
I have only been involved at this level for three months and already feel the strain of putting out fires constantly. I feel like I should "handle her", but don't know how to calm her down! HELP!!
