This is a great relatively cheap idea to relate class information and serve as a keepsake. Take a class picture (teacher included). Attach to the top of paper. Arrange the class names underneath the pic. On the back include a list of chilren's name/parent's name/address/phone #'s in columns underneath the pic. Don't forget the teacher. Make it as colorful as your printer will allow, laminate, and attach magnets to the corners. Great for the fridge! and keep it for the memory!
Another great idea is a communication folder. A simple plastic (not paper - for durability) folder with a pocket on each side. Label one side for "Keep at Home" and the other "Read and Return". It simplifies the backpack scrunched up mess and is good for sending notes to the teacher as well.
